We would like to extend a warm welcome to Kellaway Building Supplies.  We've grown over the years, check out our timeline to the right.

For both trade and DIY, our knowledgable and friendly staff are proud of our reputation for providing excellent service.

In 2007, Kellaway was declared one of the fastest growing builders merchants in the South West (according to Fast Track 2007, a report compiled by KPMG and the Western Daily Press). Of course, it wasn't always this way. Back in 1982 when Ernest Milligan set up the first Kellaway branch (named after its' Kellaway Avenue location), the first day's takings of just £32.92 were a far cry from the numbers the company deals with today.

The original delivery vehicle was a MINI van - a long way from the orange and blue 16 to 26 tonne trucks the company presently operates.

Ernest retired in 1996 with his son, Julian taking over the riens. Since then the company has grown each year and now employs over 130 people.

We are the largest independent builders merchant in our home city of Bristol, expanding in more recent years, we now have 8 branches serving Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.

At the end of 2008, we won two national awards for Best Customer Service by a Builder's Merchant and Best Training Initiative by a Builders Merchant at the Builder's Merchants Awards For Excellence.  This builds on our excellent record where we were runner up for Best Customer Service in 2007, and winner in 2006, along with being a runner up for Best Training Initiative. We are very keen to keep our unique relationship with our customers the way it is, and enhance this as we grow.
