Who's Got a Brand New Combine Harvester?
August 2006
Kellaway Building Supplies supported the Ring O'Bells public house in Coalpit Heath this August Bank Holiday... but not by taking a combine harvester, that was left to some very special guests!
In their quest to raise funds for The Barbara Russell Fund at the Children's Ward of Frenchay Hospital, The Ring O'Bells held a charity concert topped by the well known West Country band "The Wurzels". In order to keep the event exclusive to patrons, Landlady Pat Andrews contacted Kellaway to ask for some help with materials to screen off the main area from public view.
Kellaway Building Supplies in Yate were delighted to help and offered enough material to screen off the whole area.
"The day was a huge success..." said Pat, "and we are very grateful to all the companies who helped us with our event including Kellaway. We managed to raise over £3500 for The Barbara Russell Fund at the Children's Ward in Frenchay Hospital, which specialises in burns and head injuries. Every penny of the money raised will be put to good use."
Kellaway Building Supplies opened their newest branch in Yate last September, where the team continue the ethos of the company by supporting the local community where possible. For trade and DIY customers, Kellaway is Bristol’s largest independent builders merchant with 5 branches around the City, plus Stonehouse near Stroud and Swindon in Wiltshire.
