DIY Customers
At Kellaway, we really appreciate our DIY customers and are ready and happy to help.
As a builders merchant, you could be forgiven for thinking that we just serve the trade market. Not so at Kellaway. A large proportion of our business is achieved serving the DIY market. Our branches are geared up for both types of customers. They offer a friendly and helpful environment.
Knowledge and help from staff
Many of our staff have been with Kellaway for a number of years and are DIY enthusiasts themselves. If you’re doing a particular job and need some advice on what part to fit, or which product to use, simply ask.
Suppliers and Training
We work with our suppliers and take customer feedback to ensure that products supplied meet current building regulations requirements. We can pass this knowledge on to the DIY customer.
Suppliers often train our staff on new products, and we also have our own team trainer dedicated to training members of the Kellaway team.
We offer products which are competitive in price and don’t include a huge mark up that DIY chains can add on - we don’t spend lots of money on having slick shops with plasma screens and fancy floors. We would rather keep it small and friendly, and pass on the cost savings in our competitive pricing.

Landscaping
Branches in Horfield (serving Bristol), Swindon and opening soon at Stonehouse are specialists in landscaping with live displays for customers to choose their product. We work with our suppliers to provide you with drawings to your specification. And as we’re a builders merchant, we can supply everything you need to complete the job – from hardcore to tools.
Plumbing and Heating
Our Horfield and Fishponds branches have dedicated plumbing departments with dedicated team members, whilst all branches carry a wide range of plumbing and heating products in addition to offering general advice.
Timber profiling
Our sawmill at Stonehouse can be used to create practically anything! If you are doing a bespoke project – as a toybox for the kids, or making yourself a desk, we can help. Talk to us about your requirements, and between us we’ll come up with a plan drawing and create your timber.
It’s great for renovation and restoring. If you’ve got some skirting board to replace, but want to match the existing, simply bring a piece in and we’ll match it to create new! That can save you time and money in ripping off the old and replacing with new.
