Internal Sales Assistant – Bedminster Branch

Salary £26,500-28,000 depending on experience, plus overtime, bonus and extensive benefits package

Hours:

  • Basic 40 hours Monday to Friday between 7:30am and 5:00pm
  • Saturdays on a rota basis 8.00am – 12.00noon
  • Stocktake weekend with paid overtime
  • Some Bank Holidays with paid overtime

Main purpose of job:

  • Selling to customers over the internal sales desk & sales counter
  • Dealing with existing and prospect customers on the telephone and taking orders
  • Management of customer sales ledger
  • Dealing promptly and efficiently with queries
  • Taking and processing correctly customers' telephoned orders
  • Advising customers
  • Handling customers' payments
  • Liaison with suppliers and purchasing stock within the company's timescale criteria

Main requirements of job:

  • Customer service skills essential
  • Sales and negotiation skills essential
  • Experience in general building materials or related industry
  • Good telephone manner
  • Good administrative and communication skills
