Kellaway Building Supplies has won the award for the Best Training Initiative category, at the annual Builders Merchants News Awards in London.

These highly competitive and sought-after awards, highlight and reward the achievements of the best merchants across the UK. Kellaway has regularly been selected as a finalist at awards winning 3 times, but not since 2008. Managing Director Julian Milligan, spoke afterwards about the awards,

“We are delighted, we put a lot of stock in the awards and know that they are judged by a panel of industry professionals, so they are well respected. Winning the award is a recognition of our innovation in training and the developments that we have made. It is a testament to our approach to staff development and training across the entire business. We are continuously looking at ways to upskill our staff, encouraging them to take on more responsibility and progress themselves professionally. We are very ambitious in our commitment to be the Merchant of Choice for employees and this award reinforces our position and recognises our achievements.”

We have witnessed significant growth over the past few years including numerous acquisitions and new branch opening, with more to come in 2018. It is a tremendously exciting time for the business and everyone involved with it and we hope that we can recreate the success that we have had today again next year.
