Kellaway Bathrooms was formed in March, as a separate business trading on Kellaway Avenue opposite the Horfield branch.
Aimed at homeowners and bathroom installers, Kellaway Bathrooms benefits from a key location and comprehensive showroom, as well as stocking all the leading brands. Although run separately from Kellaway Building Supplies, it applies the same standards of dedicated customer service consequently building an excellent reputation.
August marks the acquisistion of Tamwood Timber Merchants in Stonehouse. In addition to general building supplies, the Stonehouse branch boasts a ready mixed concrete plant along with a fully equipped timber mill enabling them to produce all sizes and styles of timber.
In December, Kellaway opens a new branch in Ashton, Bristol, serving the city south of the river – a key area for developing new markets of our business.
Kellaway bought Harveys Sand and Gravel in Swindon in August, giving them their first outlet in Wiltshire. Previously specialising in landscaping materials, this business was expanded to include general building supplies.
The Swindon business was run with dual branding of Harveys/Kellaway to establish the Kellaway name until 2005 when the Harveys name was discontinued. The branch retained a number of experienced staff who had worked with Harveys.
The first Kellaway Family Funday was held for employees and their families in September 2003.
First vehicles with mini hiab cranes were added to the delivery fleet such as the Mitsubishi Canter.
