Hours:

• Basic 45 hours Monday to Friday between 7:00am and 4:30pm
• Saturday mornings on a rota basis hours 7.30am to 12.30noon
• Stocktake weekend once a year
• Some Bank Holidays

Your Role:

• Work closely with the branch team to plan, prepare, and batch concrete and screed for collection and delivery, ensuring consistent quality and strength
• Maintain the concrete plant in excellent working order, following health and safety regulations
• Manage stock levels of loose and bagged aggregates
• Serve customers efficiently, ensuring accurate paperwork and high standards of customer service
• Liaise with branch sales staff and oversee a small team of mixer drivers for smooth delivery operations
• Communicate with customers regarding delivery times and updates
• Ensure plant safety through daily, weekly, and monthly checks

What We're Looking For:

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Good literacy and numeracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organisation and practical skills, including plant maintenance and repair
• Forklift and Telehandler licences (training available)
• Experience in concrete batching (desirable)
