Our ongoing commitment to our team

We are highly successful at developing individuals and empowering them to reach their full potential.  As an employer, it is our main goal to develop, engage and retain talent, whilst providing a rewarding and challenging role for people at every level.

We have dedicated training facilities at our Group Head Office and operate as a Centre of Excellence for the Builders Merchants Federation.

 

We operate training and development programmes for our team at all levels, utilising both internal and external resources this might include but is not exclusive to:

• Management training including diploma and degree courses

• Many and varied product training

• LGV training

• Apprenticeships

• Safety training

• Plant training

➤ Our development programmes utilise resources available internally and externally, to ensure we develop well-rounded, high-skilled, competent and confident people.

➤ Ensuring the safety of our team is our priority and we provide extensive and ongoing safety training through an online portal.

➤ Through our fully qualified trainer, we are able to provide full training for all our plant machinery including counterbalance, side loader, combi lift, bucket loader and hiab cranes.

 

We use training as an opportunity to bring together staff from across our branches to help foster our team culture and encourage sharing ideas.
